I think my original A/C control panel has become inop. I hear the temp fan next to the unit turn on when the A/C master switch is on but the display stays blank.
Premier will get back to me next week regarding the replacement unit. They said the new unit will require some new wiring.
Does anyone have experience with having their old Cabin Cool A/C display replaced they would like to share?
Thanks,
Scottt

I can answer some of my own post now.
"This rework kit is $3,550 and has a 6-8 week lead time from our vendor."
Ouch, Oh well. The plane needs what it needs.

Re: Cabin Cool A/C control panel
Scottt, I think I can answer your question as my DA40 was the first to have the original Cabin controller replaced. I ordered the replacement controller and had XU Aviation do the replacement according to the instructions from Premier.
We then found out that the replacement was missing something as the fan worked but not the compressor. After much troubleshooting between XU Aviation and Premiere and hot being able to solve the problem, I took the plane to the London factory and Ed had his A/C guy take a look. Turns out the new wiring was incorrect and a relay was missing from the proposed instructions. Ed and his A/C and Electrical guy worked with Premiere to propose a change/update the instructions and all is well.
You can see my original post about it here:

Here is also another post where I shoed pics of the old and new controller side by side.

The new controller does not have a temperature dial..its simply [off] -> [fan speed 1-2-3] dial and compressor on/off button

Thanks for the information. It’s unfortunate that your install was troublesome. Late comers like myself will benefit from what was learned during your install.
