Re: Priorities for 2022?
We had installed WAAS in the DA40 D with the Urbe STC. At that time Mr. Stefan Ennengel (stefan.ennengel@urbe.aero) was my contact. As I see from their web site, he now is general manger. See also the web site https://service.urbe.aero/content/team-austria

Re: Priorities for 2022?
All very interesting, but the point was to establish specific asks of Diamond for 2022-23. Things that can reasonably be expected to happen. They are not going to become a customer centric company or beg forgiveness for past sins that will be attributed to Christian Dries. The OP (me) was not interested in creating a thread for venting. I'll make a couple of suggestions:
1) Establish more service centers (globally) capable of servicing Austro engines. The existing service centers cannot service the Austro engined fleet.
2) Establish a US parts depot so that every shipment of a part to a U.S. service center does not need to transit customs at least once, if not twice if it originated in Austria and comes to the U.S. via Canada. Owners in the EU already enjoy this benefit.
I'm sure others have ideas ranging from the first demo flight, through the purchase process and ownership experience. Please air out those ideas so that we can pare them down to a reasonable set of requests.

Re: Priorities for 2022?
Russ,
It would be mighty handy (if not a little fanciful) if Diamond had one email subscription/list to which they sent MSB's/AD's etc directly.
Kinda like a "we are sorry your brand new engine is having problems, here are the bulletins you need, sorry for your trouble" LOL
It would be much slicker than finding out second hand on an owners forum or having to sign up with different (and potentially changing) manufactures.

Re: Priorities for 2022?
I have a 2006 DA42NG with a KAP140. In order, I’d say:
1. Make the tail hook bigger. Yes I know you can use a shackle, but cmon, on a 6 figure airplane, really?
2. Bigger cup holders. Even the tiny zojirushi bottles won’t fit. Ridiculous for a plane like the DA42.
3. An affordable autopilot upgrade. The GFC700 STC is just plain uneconomical.
4. A pathway to NXi

Re: Priorities for 2022?
1. I loop a short climbing sling / runner through the tail hook. It's inexpensive, soft, doesn't damage anything, very strong, accepts any ground tackle and can be easily removed when not needed.michael.g.miller wrote: ↑Tue Jan 04, 2022 3:16 am I have a 2006 DA42NG with a KAP140. In order, I’d say:

3. It's on the agenda.
4. Also on the agenda.

Re: Priorities for 2022?
Is the affordable autopilot upgrade on the agenda for the DA40 as well? Also any word on the v15 update for the DA40-180s that were upgraded to WAAS?
Thanks!
Thanks!
Charles

Re: Priorities for 2022?
There is a meeting next month and we hope to get an update on v15 that we can share.
