As I fly along, especially the long cross country flights, I will occasionally write down a tail number. More likely if it is a Diamond, but also interesting planes I hear on frequency. And there was a VFR pilot in some IMC anxiety that I scribbled down because I wanted to know the outcome (she was fine, had a great flight to her destination).
Last flight from KSQL to KOWD I was leaving the Albuquerque Valley and heard a Twinstar departing one of the smaller airports (Moore County, now THAT'S some inexpensive JetA) and so I scribbled it down. Sounded a little like a training flight. And I think they said they were headed to Deer Valley, tons of training there.
On FlightAware it looks like it was actually a delivery flight, since it originated in London, Ontario and is still registered to Diamond Aircraft Sales. If it is a new owner already, Welcome!

Re: N462D out of KDUX
KDUX is my go to fuel stop 9 times out of 10 when in the Texas Panhandle. Occasionally a stop at KBGD if they got a better deal. Soon I'll be buying JetA with the purchase of a DA42NG while I wait for my 62!
