painters masking tape around the perimeter helps with the distortion. The above method with plastic sheet works great. Lay down a plastic sheet. lay down your cloth. pour the epoxy on top. Lay another plastic sheet on top. squeegee the epoxy into the CF and pulling off as much epoxy as possible. cut to size. Peel and stick. remove the remaining plastic sheet. squeegee on a sheet of peel-ply on top.
