Plane upgrade took different turn
Well, I was looking at upgrading to a larger plane and instead purchased a P92 Tecnam. My father in law is a CFII (and our In-house accountant) so we a purchasing this plane to start a sport pilot training center! Pretty stoked about that development!!!

Re: Plane upgrade took different turn
Are the wings extra?
How's does it compare to a DA20?
Have fun and fly safe!

Re: Plane upgrade took different turn
No need for wings! It's a Taxi Trainer! (Or they are packed for delivery to US. The plane is in route now. Arrives in 2weeks)

Re: Plane upgrade took different turn
I have some time in Technam and a couple of other LSAs (Evector and Pilistrel). Great airplanes all three, in different ways. It make sense if you are in the USA and need to stay away from getting the medical and PPL. Otherwise you are (much) better off staying with the DA20.

Re: Plane upgrade took different turn
Very glad to keep the diamond.
The DA20 is not a LSA in the US so it cannot be used as a LSA trainer (I wish it were).
We are using the LSA as an avenue to drive interest in aviation. It is more affordable and the planes we are using can be flown all the way though instrument. Our goal is to get people flying and send them all the way through to their PPL and beyond.

Re: Plane upgrade took different turn
My first Airplane was a Tecnam P2002. I bought it in 2003 to train on and then bought the DA40 in 2005. I still miss flying along over the city on summer evenings with the canopy pulled back and my elbow out the window. I built the panel & recovered the seats to replace the cheap cloth it came with. Wonderful Aircraft! The ultimate VFR cross county Light Cruiser. No speed limit on Canadian version of LSA (Advanced Ultralight) I used to cruise at 130 Kts.bcocheran wrote:Well, I was looking at upgrading to a larger plane and instead purchased a P92 Tecnam.

I keep the web site up just for memories... it was sold in 2006.
