DIAMOND FLYIN
I would like to propose a weekend of FLYIN for all Diamond owners this year. Lets see about coming to central Texas (KILE) Let me know who all would be interested.
I believe August or September would be a good time to do this.

Re: DIAMOND FLYIN
Isn't there somewhere wamer where we could meet in the middle of summer? Was Death Valley already booked up? Perhaps Premier TX could offer a bulk discount on A/C installations that week.
I'm not sure if I'll be able to make it down there then, but I'm highly supportive of the fly-in idea in general.

Re: DIAMOND FLYIN
Maybe. Depends on the date for one thing, as I've got an Alaska trip scheduled in August. Not flying myself there, chicken that I am.

I would be interested also, but not in the heat of the Summer (i.e. not May-September). How about the Hangar Hotel in Fredericksburg, TX, there is a Cafe onsite and lots of things to do in the area (for example, National Pacific War Museum, Wine Tours, etc.).

I would also be interested, and TX is certainly in the middle of the country making it more accessible to everyone. However, as I worked in Houston for 3yrs, the fall seems like a better time of year.

Re: DIAMOND FLYIN
Just up the road from me, one of my favorite $100 hamburger flights. All of the above activities, plus Enchanted Rock for hikers (think of a smaller Ayers rock), and San Antonio (Alamo, Riverwalk) is a short hop away. Fall is definitely a more pleasant time of year than summer in this area.saramse wrote: ↑Sun Jan 24, 2021 7:34 am I would be interested also, but not in the heat of the Summer (i.e. not May-September).
