Re: Purchased a DA 42 Simulator
This week, I plan on adding an inline fan to simulate air conditioning. I'm going with a 6" TerraBloom Silent. I purchased the 4" but it's a bit underpowered for the task. The 6" pushes nearly 3x the volume. I'll hide it fan in the nose, use the gear opening for air intake and plumb to the eyeball vents. Next, I'll wire the fan controller potentiometer to the cabin air lever.

Re: Purchased a DA 42 Simulator
It's been a long seven months and I'm almost finished. Here are a few updates. I apologize for the lack of updates here on DAN.
I've documented most of the build on my Instagram page #DA42SIM.
Yesterday, I closed the panel and have a little more to go with the screen warping software and force feedback.
I hope to be finished by Christmas.

Re: Purchased a DA 42 Simulator
Dying to know where things are at on this project. I'm a new student pilot training in a DA40 NG and came to the board looking for desktop simulator setups for folks flying Diamonds. Clearly, this setup is on another level, but I a) need to know if you got this working, and b) would love an opportunity to check it out; as ironically, I am also in Winter Garden, FL

Re: Purchased a DA 42 Simulator
This company make DA40/DA42NG simulators at reasonable prices vs the OEM option: www.aviatek.com
I have one of their products and it’s an excellent reproduction.
