I believe deposits are being taken in Europe and the company will start taking deposits in North America at OSH… no customer deliveries as of yet, to my knowledge.

Re: DA50 Owners: PIREPS Appreciated!
I heard that European DA50 deliveries won't begin until September, and North American deliveries won't take place until at least the 2nd half of 2022 (depending upon FAA certification).
So it's too soon to obtain DA50 PIREPs.

Re: DA50 Owners: PIREPS Appreciated!
They are doing a road trip and I was able to test fly it this week. I heard that the first private delivery to Switzerland was happening this week as well and that they are sold out until end of 2022 now with a continuous production.
Here my testflight-Pirep:
Very beautiful aircraft! Cabin is very nice, almost the same as the DA62 5-Seater. Flying is very similar to al Diamond aircraft’s: Very easy. Landing is a lot easier than the DA40 with the nice landing gear. Almost the Same as DA42/62. For taxi you need quite a lot of power (~25%) which I am not used to from DA40NG and DA62, but it’s supposed to be better with the series DA50 (the Test Aircraft was SN003). Stall characteristics are superb. You can pull and pull and pull and eventually sink with 700-800 fpm even without a parachute. Diamond says that this is their philosophy instead of a parachute, but they also hinted at the product development complexity to integrate one. They most likely need to design an airframe from scratch to enable it and add concepts like the honeycomb seats as the cirrus. A few minor disadvantages: Higher vibrations than the Austro Engines, more noise (10dB, so above strict noise limits in Europe), small fuel tanks and last but not least: The big engine requires a lot more trimming (up to 80% trim range) during load changes. You also have to anticipate this a little eg for landing. In the DA40 and DA62 trimming happens rather +-20%, not often, and if you forget to trim back it’s not an issue.
Best regards,
Jan

Just so you know, Diamond DA62, DA42, DA50, DA40, and DA20 seats are all 26G impact seats with crush blocks, just like the Cirrus.
