Hi All,
Placed an order for a DA62 for delivery Early 2024. Decided to get it configured for 5 seats as part of the dream is flying to locations here in Australia and then going for great bike rides.
Would anyone have any images of how to put full size road bikes in the back securely .
Also, any experience with E bike batteries at higher altitudes(not quite ready for an e bike but the day will come)
I’m visiting the Wiener Neustadt factory in Jan so if I find out anything new, will let you all know.
Love the forum and all your contributions..

Re: Bicycles in the back of a DA62
We've placed a pair of full-size road bikes (without removing any wheels) in the back of our 7-seater DA62 by folding down both rows of seats -- first placing multiple blankets on top of the folded setbacks for protection from the bikes. It's quite easy to do if you have lightweight road bikes.

Not a '62, but I regularly fit 2 bikes in the back of our Da-40. I do take both wheels off to stack them in there though.

If you like mixing biking with flying, its worth looking into a brompton folding bike. I regularly put two in the DA-40, and they unfold ready to ride in 20 seconds. Brompton is a brand that has a cult following matching diamond or beechcraft.
I cant say enough good things about the bike. I ride it every day around NYC, and it takes no thought to pack it wherever I fly in the plane. And most of all, theyre super fun to ride, faster than most normal bikes, and can easily go 30+ miles comfortably and quickly...
