good read, this is an easy fix just takes two folks. my understanding, on full turn equals + or - 10 RPM...

My RPM has been limited to the lower 2600's since I bought it. I sent the governor in for calibration and it didn't change anything. I suppose it just needs to be reindexed but I haven't bothered. The screw is adjusted all the way out with room to spare and it's still 2630 or so. I figure it makes up for my other airplane routinely being operated above 3000 (aerobatic plane).

Apparently, it is not uncommon for rebuild shops to index the lever incorrectly, since the IO360-M1A apparently has a unique governor drive gear ratio. They assume it is the same as all of the other IO360s and it is clocked wrong for our gear. See:
