Oil sampling SB
Hi
how many DA50 owners have had their oil sampled following the Dutch crash? and how many have had the results.

Re: Oil sampling SB
I indirectly know of one DA50 owner and they are undergoing engine exchange after positive sample.

Positive in the sense of a good outcome, meaning no further action necessary ?lima_foxtrot wrote: ↑Thu Nov 09, 2023 4:04 pm Hi Shoeman,

Re: Oil sampling SB
Positive in the sense of an abnormal high amount of copper in the oil after ~75 hrs. We‘ll probably get a new engine.Wilhelm wrote: ↑Fri Nov 10, 2023 1:40 pmPositive in the sense of a good outcome, meaning no further action necessary ?lima_foxtrot wrote: ↑Thu Nov 09, 2023 4:04 pm Hi Shoeman,

Re: Oil sampling SB
Interesting to know the cause (bad batch of bearings?) and how it's solved on replacement engines.

Re: Oil sampling SB
I got good results back in 036 but 037 needs a new engine. I am not sure if they know yet whether it is faulty parts or faulty installation that causes the problem
